Meet Jess, Founder of Dainty Diamond
Hi, I’m Funda, the founder of Dainty Diamond. Dainty Diamond’s jewelry story dates back to 22 years ago when my father entered the jewelry business.
Throughout my childhood, every weekend consisted of visiting my dad at work. I would put on a large diamond necklace, stand on a stool and tell everyone who walked passed that they “needed” this necklace.
In 2019, I graduated from Western University with a Master’s of Media, Journalism and Communication. After studying and working in different jobs in the media industry for over two years, I was ready to find a career that I was actually passionate and excited about.
Little did I know it was right in front of me this entire time.
Our Story
As a young woman, I consistently heard from my friends how difficult it was to find jewelry that was high-quality, and affordable. So, in 2020 when a friend asked me if we could get her a gold necklace through my dad’s connections, I told her it was no problem.
After helping her find the perfect gold necklace, needless to say, I was inspired and Dainty Diamond was born.
What started as a hobby outside of my 9-5 job to help friends and family find the perfect earrings, necklace or any piece of jewelry they were looking for, quickly grew into a space I was extremely passionate about and wanted to share these high-quality pieces with others.
